In October 2019. Armstrong Ceiling Solutions has been acquired by Knauf Gips KG, a global market leader in building materials and a manufacturer of drywall components. Knauf Gips KG (as well as its Knauf AMF brand) and Armstrong Ceiling Solutions have joined forces, creating the newly formed Knauf Ceiling Solutions business unit and enabling the company to further strengthen its market presence and expand its portfolio of ceiling solutions for customers.
The company has been a pioneer in taking environmental measures and putting sustainability into practice. 70% of Armstrong's products have Cradle to Cradle certification, an affirmation of the production and use of materials in accordance with the world's most advanced sustainable manufacturing concept - the full life cycle of products "from cradle to cradle." Armstrong products are used in buildings certified under systems including Well Building Standard, LEED, BREEAM, DGNB.
