Centrum Szkła i Ceramiki Lipowa 3

TheGlass and Ceramics Center, located in Cracow at 3 Lipowa Street, is an initiative of the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, Glass and Building Materials Branch in Cracow. It is a place which, through educational, didactic, exhibition and cultural activities, brings Cracovians and tourists closer to the history and technology of glass art.

The Glass and Ceramics Center includes:

  • Lipowa 3 Gallery organizing periodic exhibitions of works by contemporary Polish artists, at the same time offering original, handmade glass and ceramic products (platters, bowls, glasses, figurines, cases, jewelry)
  • Demonstrations of hand-formed glass "live" - allowing visitors to learn first-hand about the fascinating process of glassmaking, as well as to try their hand at the profession of glassmaker.
  • "Glass in Krakow. Industry and Art. 1931-1998" - a permanent exhibition on the history and technology of glassmaking, including a collection of original tools used for the manual production of glass, a collection of antique glass vessels dating from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as a collection of contemporary artistic colored glass, which was produced in 1969-1998 at Lipowa 3
