Cycles of Light. From exercise to the international arena
Modernity within the walls of history. The transformation of Castello di Gaeta

Aleksander Walenko

A second-year architecture student at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He earned his engineering degree in 2023. As a modern Silesian, he values both tradition and innovation, trying to combine them into a coherent whole. He believes that an architect should be more than just a designer of buildings - he is a mediator who skillfully weaves together opposing values, such as nature and construction or tradition and modernity. Only by harmoniously combining contrasts can something simultaneously innovative and functional be created. Each project is a business card of the architect - it reflects his character, skills and artistic level.
