Aylin Karakurt

A student of architecture, she is passionate about designing meaningful, atmospheric and technically refined spaces. She was born in Izmir, where her first creative interests began to take shape. Before devoting herself fully to architecture, she completed a year-long preparatory course in English, which strengthened her communication skills and allowed her to function freely in an international and academic environment.

During her childhood and early adolescence, she was particularly interested in fashion design. She was fascinated by fabrics, layering, texture and the way clothes shape a person's identity and presence. Over time, she recognized that her interest in "dressing" could extend beyond the human body. She began to see buildings as matter in themselves - structures that can be layered, wrapped, articulated and expressed through form. This shift in perspective turned her toward architecture: instead of dressing people, she wanted to "dress" buildings through facade, structure, light and detail.

During an internship at the CHVL Architetti studio in Rome, she co-designed a liturgical box for the ashes of a priest for the church of San Pantaleo. Located at the left altar, the object had a cage-like structure, symbolizing olive trees - an essential element of Christian iconography. She was responsible for developing the ornamentation, creating detailed 3D models, preparing technical drawings and translating conceptual ideas into workable solutions. This experience has strengthened her ability to move seamlessly from concept to precise detailing.

She has advanced knowledge of industry-specific programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Blender, D5 Render, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. She is comfortable creating BIM models, technical documentation, high-quality visualizations and professional presentation layouts. Her way of working enables her to effectively combine creative exploration with technical precision.

In addition to her technical competence, she is also distinguished by her developed communication and presentation skills. Since childhood, she has participated in theater classes, which helped her develop confidence in public speaking and storytelling skills. She freely presents her ideas in front of larger audiences and collaborates effectively in teams.

She is also interested in narrative and immersive environments, which is reflected in her love of role-playing games such as Baldur's Gate 3, League of Legends, Hogwarts Legacy and Assassin's Creed. These experiences inspire her approach to architecture - designing spaces that are not only functional, but also atmospheric, emotionally engaging and meaningful.

She is ambitious, flexible and focused on continuous development. Her goal is to contribute creatively and technically to projects that value clarity of structure, strong conceptual thinking and a high quality spatial experience.
