Paweł Gmitruk

My name is Pawel Gmitruk and I am studying Architecture and Urban Planning at the Wrocław University of Technology.
Both in the engineering project (Jewish Cultural Center in the forgotten cemetery on ul. Gwarna in Wroclaw - where I helped to recognize and restore the erased memories of Jewish Heritage in Poland) and my master's project (Center for Cultural Recycling - a complex of buildings supporting ecology, zero-waste andpromoting the upcycling of unnecessarily discarded urban raw materials), I paid particular attention to both the residents and their interaction with the environment.

In my break from programming and planning, I deepen my psychoanalytic knowledge by reading books, participate in second-hand exchanges, and attend various cultural events and exchanges - all of which complement my full-time learning, which drives my main goal as an architect - not everything that is thrown away is useless. I consider myself both an architect in the traditional sense and also an architect of a sustainable future.
