25 years have passed

25 years of A&B's existence is a time to take stock. And we have made one. These quarter of a century of A&B's publishing is the story not only of post-transformation Poland in the background, changes in construction law and approaches to the profession of architecture or urban planning, but also of paradigm shifts in architecture and city design. It is actually the changes themselves and constantly happening.

These 25 years are also in the new Poland - new free media, including the possibility of publishing an independent press, including A&B.

We devoted this issue entirely to memories. Going through archival issues and selecting the best excerpts, we experienced a lot of emotion, but also had a lot of fun. The language, the way of narration especially in the first years, when A&B still occupied "half a table" and didn't fit on the bookshelf, made us smile nostalgically, and sometimes surprised.

I have been associated with A&B since December 2003. We have matured together during this time, made valuable friendships and contacts. These 15 years have been the greater part of my professional life, so I feel a special connection with the magazine, and above all with the people who contribute to it. Because A&B is, after all, first and foremost people. I won't even try to name everyone, because it's impossible. Certainly, to all of them I thank you very much and constantly invite you to cooperate with us. Thank you to everyone who has been with us. I thank the editors and editors. Thank you architects and designers. Thank you to the writers and critics. Thank you to our proofreaders, translators. I thank the publishers for their fruitful cooperation and all those who have contributed to the existence of A&B.

At the same time, I invite all of you - architects, authors, critics, students, investors and all who want to co-edit one of the most important magazines about architecture with us - to continue to work together. May the next 25 years be as inspiring and full of professional excitement.
