Atiaîa Lighting Design

The studio was founded in 2016 by Mariana Novaes in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The name "Atiaîa" comes from the Tupi-Guarani language and means "ray of light," reflecting luminance. These values are realized daily in the studio's practice and professional ethics.

The studio's approach is comprehensive - focused on the well-being and delight of space users. Projects are created in collaboration with a variety of industries and clients, with a focus on the highest quality: from user needs and experience, to contextual analysis, to inspiration from light phenomena and the properties of space. The studio is based on research, while maintaining great attention to detail and technical precision of solutions.
