Bermúdez Arquitectos

Bermúdez Arquitectos is a Colombian architectural studio based in Bogotá, specializing in the design of architecture, landscape urbanism and public spaces. The studio develops projects ranging in scale from urban design to architectural detailing, with an emphasis on consistency of function, space and context.

The office's founder is Daniel Bermúdez Samper - architect, lecturer and author of many key projects in Colombia, such as the Ágora Bogotá conference center, the El Tintal and Julio Mario Santo Domingo municipal libraries, as well as university campus complexes and public spaces in Bogotá. He has been affiliated with Universidad de Los Andes since 1975, where he currently serves as professor emeritus.

The team is co-founded by Ramón Bermúdez Obregón, an architect and urban planner who teaches at the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, and Diego Bermúdez Obregón, a landscape architect with a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in open space design and climate change adaptation strategies.

The studio combines academic experience with design practice, with research, realizations and international collaborations. Recent projects include university campuses and cultural spaces realized in various cities in Colombia.
