Jury's opinion

The overriding aim of the work concerning the quality of living in chaotic suburban areas and an analytical attempt at a deeper analysis of this problem lay behind the awarding of the project with the First Prize. The problem of the suburb, the nature of its development and the search for a way to shape spatial structures along with the typology of projections in the landscape of these places was consistently, and it seems—accurately—led by the Author of the work.
The author makes an attempt to combine urban space with space belonging to nature, aiming to build an attractive and accessible, as he claims in his work, public space. The undoubted value of the work is that it undertakes a polemic against the existing planning arrangements, guided by a reference to natural values and an attempt to build a resident-friendly place. This idea was expressed in a poetic urban composition, in which the buildings are like autumn leaves symbolically scattered by the wind.
The architecture in this space was guided by a delicate line of modernist style. The work clearly emphasized the distribution of material solutions—monolithic combined with light wooden structures, and the whole project was based on the principle of balanced combination of traditional form and technological modernity.
