The digital revolution and the digitalization of an ever-increasing area of the world is a fact of life and affects our daily lives. How does it relate to architecture? The studio's representatives believe that by integrating architecture with digital technologies, it can respond more effectively to user needs. What's more, they believe, when a building is more intelligent and automated, the user becomes more aware and willing to make sustainable decisions.
The Carlo Ratti Associati studio made headlines recently with its CURA project - containers converted into modular intensive care units to relieve overcrowded hospitals during coronavirus outbreaks. The first prototypes have already been implemented in Milan - one of Europe's largest pandemic outbreaks.

A guest at the next lecture in the Masters of Architecture series, Juan Carlos Romero's work focuses on how people interact with each other and the built environment. During Thursday's meeting on Instagram, the architect will talk about the era of digital civilization and its impact on modern cities.
