The view from this house is breathtaking. Located right on the lake, the building provides its homebuyers with an unforgettable experience. This is made possible by the massive glazing - on the water side the house is almost fully open, and just outside the garden gate there is a small beach.
We recently wrote about how Marcin Tomaszewski of {tag:Studio} sees the changes in architecture in recent years. Architecture of the last 10 years through the eyes of Marcin Tomaszewski. Today, the designer lets out the secret in a short interview about one of his projects RE: Lakeside house.

Basia Hyjek: What was the main inspiration for this project?
Marcin Tomaszewski: The main inspiration for this project was the lake and the beautiful landscape of nature. I wanted the residents to be able to enjoy this view. At the same time, I wanted to shield the homeowners from the neighboring, not very interesting buildings.
Basia: What was the main concept?
Marcin Tomaszewski: The initial plan was to expand the already existing block. However, this turned out to be impossible. In order to achieve the desired effect, the house had to be demolished and a completely new block created.
Basia: What did the investor particularly care about?
Marcin Tomaszewski: I wanted all the rooms to face the lake and to get the impression of unity of the interior with what is outside the building. I achieved this treatment by using large glazing facing the lake.

Basia: What materials were used?
Marcin Tomaszewski: The facade was made of aluminum coating (Alucobond) in a glossy black version. The project also used concrete plaster, matte and rough. The two materials used provide an interesting contrast to each other.
Basia: What in the design process gave you the most pleasure and what caused you the most difficulties?
Marcin Tomaszewski: In all projects there are some difficulties, but each of them is a challenge for the architect, which gives a lot of satisfaction.
