21 diplomas from Poland nominated for Young Talent Architecture Award 2020

The Mies van der Rohe Foundation has announced the list of nominees for the third edition of the European Young Talent Architecture Award 2020. Among the 383 projects were as many as 21 diplomas representing Polish architectural universities. Congratulations!

The YTAA 2020 competition is intended for architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning graduates who completed their master's degree within the last two years. During Barcelona Architecture Week on May 14, the Mies van der Rohe Foundation announced the list of graduate projects nominated for this year's award. The competition received 383 entries from 36 countries from 138 universities.

The jury for this year's edition consists of renowned specialists representing a variety of schools and trends in architecture and architectural criticism:

  • Martine de Maeseneer - chairwoman, Department of Architecture, Catholic University of Lvov,
  • Oleg Drozdov - co-founder of Drozdov & Partners studio and Kharkiv School of Architecture,
  • Juliet Leach - head of marketing from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA),
  • Rosario Talevi - curator of the Making Futures Bauhaus program and researcher from Berlin's University of the Arts,
  • Bet Capdeferro - co-leader of the Girona-based bosch.capdeferro architecture studio.

21 diplomas from Poland

Among the nominated works were as many as twenty-one diplomas from Poland representing the Silesian University of Technology, Krakow University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Wroclaw University of Technology, Katowice University of Technology, Poznan University of Life Sciences, Lublin University of Technology and Gdansk University of Technology.
