Over the past few decades, the WICONA brand has become synonymous with aluminum systems that meet the highest standards. WICONA is owned by Norway's Hydro, a fully integrated aluminum company with 35,000 employees in 40 countries on all continents, combining local expertise, global reach and unparalleled research and development capabilities.

MORE THAN 70 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
WICONA was founded in 1948 as a division of Wieland Werke in Ulm. All research, development, marketing, sales and service activities have been coordinated at the Ulm headquarters for more than 70 years. It has evolved from a small company into a brand that stands for highly specialized expertise and technical competence for aluminum system solutions.

As a system provider with decades of experience, we provide the market with rational and feasible concepts that serve people and the environment. Reconciling user convenience with environmental requirements is what motivates and drives us every day in developing energy-efficient solutions. Many WICONA projects around the world have already received international sustainable building certifications such as DGNB, LEED or BREEAM. This was another important step for us to be able to develop our "sustainability" principle even more actively.
