Large investments

The Tubądzin Group, which has focused on development through technology since its inception, completed investments worth almost 120,000,000 PLN in 2021. June 2021 saw the official opening of a modern Logistics and Distribution Center. At a cost of PLN 80 million, an automated high-bay warehouse was built, significantly increasing distribution capacity. The investment allows the Tubądzin Group to handle more than 50,000 TIRs per year. The modernization of the Logistics Center is part of the company's long-term development strategy. It has enabled fully flexible, time-optimized picking and shipping of goods, tailored to individualized customer orders. The new Logistics Center, with its state-of-the-art equipment, also has a positive impact on work comfort, and the solutions used reduce electricity consumption making processes even more environmentally friendly.

Theexpansion of the Logistics Center, as well as recent modernizations at the Ozorków and Tubadzin factories worth a total of PLN 120 million. are further stages in the development of the Tubądzin Group. On the one hand, this is the implementation of our strategy of development through technology, on the other hand, a very important pro-environmental aspect. As a responsible company, we not only meet the general standards of environmental protection and sustainable development, but also introduce state-of-the-art solutions, thanks to which the production of our tiles takes place with respect for the environment, while increasing efficiency.

- says Miroslaw Jedrzejczyk, CEO of the Tubądzin Group.

At its Ozorków factory, the Tubądzin Group has modernized its production line, which significantly reduces its carbon footprint. The recently commissioned, new spray dryer allows the reduction of natural gas consumption by as much as 25% and is a marker of innovative eco-friendly solutions for the entire industry. The machinery was also modernized, reducing the consumption of energy fuels - natural gas and electricity - and extending the life of machinery. These solutions resulted in savings in natural gas consumption, at 441,280m3.
Investments were also made at its first factory in Tubadzin. At the end of the year, the company, there, launched a modern line for the production of decorations in large format. The latest technological advances in digital printing will enable the company to decorate products reaching up to 150 × 300 cm in size. The modern decorating equipment with which the new vetrose hall has been equipped guarantees high resolution and color intensity. This will expand the color palette to include colors and effects that are difficult to achieve. The new decoration line will be able to decorate tiles of all formats produced at Tubądzin Group. For sizes from 30 × 60 cm to 60 × 120 cm, printing of tall structures of any and various shapes will also be available. Synchronized printing with special effects will allow additional decoration with gold, platinum or mirror, for example, decorative veins on marble tiles. A novelty is the decoration of tiles with concave structures, thanks to which they will gain an interesting and deepened effect of multidimensionality.

At Cersaie, the next installment of our long-standing cooperation with Maciej Zień had its premiere . The Boho, Sophisticated, Timeless and Funky collections are the result of a thorough analysis of trends, customers' and architects' expectations, as well as a consistent and coherent vision of the development of our joint product line. The need for contact with nature and the use of stone patterns in interiors are very strong trends that will be reflected in next year's collections.

Health care activities and well-beig strategy

The Tubądzin Group, responsibly and seriously addressing the global crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic, has organized a vaccination campaign. Nearly 400 Tubądzin Group employees and their family members took part in the vaccination campaign, which took place at all of the company's facilities. The employees received the vaccine from Pfizer.

The past two years have been tough for many industries. Before there were official strictures and guidelines, Tubądzin implemented its own safety procedures, which we still follow today. In 2020, we already donated thousands of pieces of personal protective equipment to medical institutions in need during the first wave of the pandemic. In addition, our foundation purchased and donated two ventilators to a hospital in Sieradz. We decided on a vaccination campaign in factories because we care about the health and safety of our employees and their families .

- says Miroslaw Jedrzejczyk, CEO of the Tubądzin Group.

This is not the only activity the company directed to its employees in the past year. In November, the company's employees participated in meetings under the banner of "Jem Session" with an expert in functional medicine and nutritional medicine. This heralded the implementation of an employee well-being strategy. Nearly 100 people participated in the meetings, which were organized in conjunction with World Food Day. Participants had the opportunity to learn about current knowledge on proper nutrition and the functioning of the body in terms of, among other things, the values and nutrients provided, the intestinal microbiota, physical activity, supplementation or building sustainable eating habits.

The Tubądzin Group takes a responsible approach to its role as an employer, striving to guarantee our employees not only satisfactory employment conditions and job security, but also caring for their overall well-being. Keeping in mind the health and well-being of each of them, especially in the unpredictable times of the coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to provide them with valuable knowledge of the modern approach to nutrition, as well as suggest solutions to help take care of the body's health and fitness on a daily basis.

- says Joanna Wodzyńska, owner of Tubądzin Group.

The year 2021 also brought the settlement of another edition, the prestigious Tubądzin Design Awards competition . The Grand Prix MONOLITH 2020 award was received by Łukasz Gąska and Marta Sowińska-Gąska, from the Gąska Studio design studio. Their project #azyl impressed the international jury with its innovative thinking about design and the role of architecture, and won the Grand Prix MONOLITH 2020, as well as a special award, Project: Facade, for the best facade.

The competition received more than 830 entries from over 50 countries, including such culturally distant countries as Malaysia, Iran and Brazil. Tubądzin is a leader in trend-setting, and is also responsive to the changing world. The momentum and quality of the projects exceeded our expectations. With the conclusion of the competition, work has begun on a special online platform, Tubądzin Design Community, created with architects and designers in mind. It is a communication bridge between the Tubądzin brand and architects, and allows for the exchange of experience, inspiration, as well as strengthening communication and common relations. On the Tubądzin Design Community website(www.tubadzincommunity.com) one will find a history of the company's activities, an overview of creative projects completed since 2008, the company's current activities in various fields, and an announcement of those to come. Information is available here about, among other things, organized workshops, competitions and all initiatives aimed at architects, such as the Tubądzin Design Awards or Tubądzin Design Days, cultural projects and collaborations from the "Tubądzin - Culture of Space" area, which show the correlation of the world of culture and art with unique design, such as. Tubądzin Group's cooperation with the Grand Theater - National Opera, or non-standard realizations of public space objects, such as Wojciech Siudmak's Artistic Backyard in Łódź.

Culture of Space - cooperation with the Grand Theater - National Opera House

Tubądzin Group has been working for culture for years. In 2021, the company began cooperation with the Grand Theater - National Opera. The inauguration of this cooperation was the preparation and production of the opera "Cardillac", directed by Mariusz Treliński, of which the Tubądzin Group was a partner. However, Tubądzin Group's cooperation with the Grand Theater - National Opera is not limited to partnership in production. It is also the joint organization of a program of inspiring meetings with architects at the headquarters of the Grand Theater, which will be guided by the slogan "Culture of space," understood as the influence of culture in its broadest sense on space and quality of life, especially in the new, (post)pandemic times. Tubądzin has been combining business with art and humanism in its activities for years.

Cooperation between the Grand Theater and the Tubądzin Group is a natural consequence of the actions taken by both entities. On the one hand - a world-class cultural institution - the Grand Theater - National Opera, inviting prestigious business partners to cooperate, and on the other - the Tubądzin Group - one of the most recognizable ceramic tile manufacturers in Poland, which has been creating trends in design for years. We are happy that we can work on joint projects, inspiring each other and drawing on each other's experience.

- says Amadeusz Kowalski, vice chairman of the board of the Tubądzin Group.
