The Schüco LivIng PVC-U window system has been expanded to include a new panoramic sash with an extremely narrow exterior frame. This design solution aligns with current trends in modern facade design, thanks to its increased glazing area and clean, uncluttered appearance. All this while maintaining the excellent performance characteristics typical of the renowned seven-chamber LivIng series.

Panoramic glazing with subtle frames is gradually becoming a standard feature in architecture—for both single-family homes and commercial buildings. This effect can now be achieved not only with aluminum systems but also with modern PVC-U constructions in the Schüco LivIng Panorama system. In the new panoramic window sash, the visible width of the profile has been minimized while maintaining the structural integrity and airtightness of the construction. From the outside, this element is just 38 mm wide. When closed, it also retracts slightly behind the frame, further reducing its visible width. This increases the proportion of glazing, giving the window a lighter and more modern look in line with current trends.
Optimized Geometry
The design of the new sash in the LivIng system is based on the 82/66 Panorama profile, which has a reduced width when viewed from the outside. This solution, based on optimized geometry, is compatible with both dry and wet glazing technologies, which streamlines production and ensures high structural stability, even for larger window sizes. The Schüco LivIng Panorama window features high-quality EPDM gaskets typical of the entire LivIng series, and the drainage and ventilation system has been modified. Carefully considered design features enable effective water drainage and pressure equalization without the need for additional components. All of this ensures that the window system delivers the excellent technical performance characteristic of the entire LivIng platform with an 82 mm installation depth, including durability, passive-level thermal insulation, airtightness, and acoustic performance. The new design also allows for the installation of special glazing units with increased thickness of up to 58 mm, which further improve the structural integrity and performance of the windows and doors.
A New Panorama of Possibilities
The sash design of the Schüco LivIng Panorama window, reduced to the bare essentials, emphasizes the sense of lightness in the glazing. The additional partition becomes a delicate, narrow contour framing the glass. The architectural potential of this solution is particularly evident in contrasting color schemes. For example, by pairing a frame in a light natural wood tone with an ultra-narrow black sash profile, you can achieve an impressive visual camouflage of the opening element. As a result, the tilt-and-turn window appears at first glance to be an elegant fixed glazing unit set within a clean frame. Thanks to its harmonious design, the Schüco LivIng Panorama window is fully in line with current trends in facade and interior design, where clean lines, thoughtful contrasts, and the free flow of light and views are key.
