Deceuninck presented its latest solutions using ThermoFibra fiberglass technology at Fensterbau Frontale 2026 in Nuremberg. It enables the production of window and door profiles without steel reinforcements, while maintaining very good thermal insulation parameters, high stability and slender geometry. Among the novelties was the Elegant ThermoFibra Infinity entrance door leaf.

ThermoFibra technology shows well the direction in which modern joinery systems are developing: greater energy efficiency, structural stability and a simpler manufacturing process. The elimination of steel reinforcements is a real benefit for manufacturers - lighter components, faster processing and more efficient logistics. At the same time, investors and designers get a solution that allows combining high technical parameters with the aesthetics of slender profiles," says Krzysztof Kalita, Product Director at Deceuninck Poland.
ThermoFibra windows without steel reinforcements
Giving up steel in window profiles brings tangible benefits to woodwork manufacturers. ThermoFibra technology cuts production time by up to 20%, while simplifying warehouse management by reducing the number of materials used. The absence of steel reinforcements also means lower component weight: ThermoFibra windows are up to 15% lighter, making them easier to transport, handle and install, without compromising on thermal performance.
These values can be further improved by combining ThermoFibra technology sashes, equipped with continuous fiberglass bundles, with Forthex thermal reinforcement used in the frame. Forthex is a solution made of PVC foam, with a durable PVC sheathing and integrated steel bars. This design allows for even better thermal insulation properties - up to a Uf value of 0.85 W/m²K.
ThermoFibra now also in the front door
The new Elegant ThermoFibra Infinity front door sash features a minimalist aesthetic thanks to its ultra-narrow rebate of just 7 mm. Flexible mounting options in hybrid systems with Euro hardware groove (16 mm or 24 mm) and 45 or 50 mm dormas meet key market needs.
Elegant ThermoFibra Infinity achieves thermal insulation values of Uf = 0.92 W/m2Kor 1.4 W/m2Kin the threshold section. The design also allows for door panels up to 67 mm thick. At the same time, steel-free sashes are up to 48% lighter compared to sashes with steel reinforcement. Sash heights of up to 2.50 meters and widths of up to 1.15 meters are permissible, including in color. In addition, standard surface hinges and locks with security escutcheons can be used flexibly in ThermoFibra entrance doors.
The pioneering technology behind the ThermoFibra entrance door has been nominated for the Innovation Award at Fensterbau Frontale 2026 due to its particularly high level of innovation, clear market relevance and strong future potential.
