Close to nature away from the hustle and bustle of the city

17 of February '22

DoğadaKal project - bungalows with FAKRO roof windows.

The sun-filled bungalows, which are located in the atmospheric village of Rize in Turkey on the Black Sea coast, will give you a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Through the skylights, not only natural light flows into the bungalows but also, when opened, birdsong and the sound of a nearby stream.

There are 5 triangular shaped bungalows with FAKRO roof windows at DoğadaKal. The bungalows are located next to the creek, plus they have private pools and jacuzzis where you can take a dip and enjoy nature.

"The story of this project was shaped by life itself. When Mr. Olgun (the investor) came to me with a request to create something new in the countryside, which would give back, as it were, the "debt" to the city where we spent our childhood...I thought of such an escape into nature, I began to dream... I based my convention on closeness to nature, in which greenery dominates. Such a rebirth and rediscovery of its charms. Like a child, free, happy, full of hope.... Who could have expected that the facility I designed would become the perfect solution for spending time during the pandemic. A way for family and individual vacations. So it was really a coincidence and the perfect solution, an escape from the crowds and hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks to FAKRO, we now have windows open to the sky, to the stars, to our dreams..."

- adds architect Esra Reyhanoğlu.

The bungalows have very large glazing on the front walls, while the skylights used let in additional light and allow the rooms to be ventilated.
