The city is a space of coexistence and activity of many people. The accumulation of public aspects of life finds its form in spaces corresponding to them, building the identity of society. Modern public architecture is designed to respond to the needs of the present and those that will arise in the future. A proper understanding of such concepts as the effects of environmental pollution, epidemic threats, consumption of non-renewable resources, rising costs of building operation should determine the development of cities. Buildings today should not perform only one assigned function — they should be flexible to the needs of the recipient.

The project concerns a building with a cultural and educational function. The main idea was to create a space that will allow the participants to acquire the necessary knowledge and realize their ideas, enable them to develop their passions both theoretically and practically. It is a place that will allow participants to learn, build, repair or modify their work. This is the initial function of this building, but by using the right parameters during design and construction it can easily be changed, which will prolong the functioning and use of this place. For example, the building could become a school, office, hotel or retail space.

The project was inscribed in the existing urban planning of the park establishment through the size of the mass and its geometric shapes on the street side (creating frontages), and on the park side through leveling with the terrain and creating optical connections of the building with the surroundings. The shape of the building is based on perpendiculars stretched along the plot, which were then pulled apart and connected by an obtuse shape, adding to the building's organic appearance.

The building has two entrances connected to each other by a single axis, forming a kind of spine around which functions are arranged. The building has been divided into two functional zones. The first is the northern part with three floors above ground. A "workshop" has been located in it, separated by material of processing into wooden and steel. The design includes open space and separate rooms, some of which are specialized areas that can only be accessed by people with prior training. The rooms have been equipped with hand tools, power tools and stationary machines adapted to the material. The rooms have well-lit areas, space for storing materials, ventilation and dust extraction, the whole has been additionally soundproofed. The plotting of the idea is made possible by open spaces with workstations and workbenches; separate rooms allow preparation and finishing of the finished product.

Zone two, located in the southern part, has an administrative and educational function, and has been equipped with classrooms, individual work rooms and open space. This makes it possible to familiarize the participant with individual topics. These two zones provide a comprehensive (theoretical and practical) introduction to the craft.

The zones are connected by a representative staircase. Subsequent rooms can be separated by curtains or platforms, thus creating places for work, meetings, auditoriums. In the northeastern part, the building borders the access road, and parking spaces, a technical entrance and a technical zone were located there. The building relates to the park establishment from the south with an external staircase that climbs along the contour of the building, extending and enriching the terrace space.
