Ruukki introduces new solution to improve acoustic environment

04 of April '24

Ruukki Polska is offering a new acoustic environment solution to customers in the construction industry. Ruukki® Acoustic, a building envelope solution specifically for large areas and difficult acoustic environments, provides an optimal result for various types of commercial buildings right from the start.

Acousticsolutions apply not only to concert halls.Acoustics have a major impact on how functional, comfortable and productive a place is for users.Despite this, acousticplanning is often not given much attention in the design of commercial buildings, resulting in the need for costly improvementssoon after the property is put into use .In response to this problem, Ruukki is introducing a new solution:Ruukki® Acoustic.

Ruukki® Acoustic includes load-bearing roofing sheets, absorbingmaterials and cladding products, which together create an intelligently engineered acoustic environment.Specifically designed for sports and industrial halls, schools and commercial buildings, thesolution reduces background noise and reverberation, maximizing the comfort of building occupants. Thelightweight, economical and easy-to-install modular design provides the desired acoustic performance of the building under construction, up to the highest Class A.

"Ruukki® Acoustic is the next step on our path towards more sustainable building products, andtogether with ourcustomers we want to take care of the health and well-being of building users. Contractors and builders can be assured that a building is fit for its purpose right from the start if acoustic aspects are included in its design," says Adam Korol, SVP, Building Envelopes, Ruukki Construction.

"The first project using Ruukki's acoustic products involved a padel playing hall in Finland. The facility, which has been in operation for a year now, has received a lot of positive feedback from players and visitors to the hall. The sounds of the game do not disturb those in the rest area. In a hall 11 meters high, we managed to reduce the reverberation time to 2.5 seconds," says Arkadiusz Krześniak, CEE Portfolio Manager, Building Envelopes, Ruukki Polska.

"Using Ruukki® Acoustic, we also prepare special solutions dedicated to buildings with very high acoustic requirements. This mainly concerns energy buildings, where we are already implementing several interesting projects," adds Arkadiusz Krześniak .
