The design of a public toilet is quite a challenge for architects. This year's location - Chocholowska Valley - is a special place in the Tatra Mountains. Beautiful, popular with tourists, difficult due to ownership conditions, valuable in terms of nature and culture. In few valleys in the Tatras can you find such a strong emphasis on the culture and tradition of the highlanders as here. Few also contain so many buildings. The erection of new buildings in the Park, especially deep in the valleys, is rare. This underscores the uniqueness of this Competition and project.

A survey conducted in connection with the contest among tourists visiting the Polish mountains shows that the sanitary condition on the trails leaves much to be desired. Every participant in the competition should read the Report, which was created on the basis of respondents' answers - there is a lot of information in it about what is missing from toilets along the trails, what should be in them, what is particularly problematic for users, etc.

The full Report is available on the website.

All information about the competition - regulations, maps, guidelines on the project, schedule, etc. can be found on the site.

We also encourage you to check out the interesting additional materials posted on the site: videos of jurors' statements, blog texts, information on the Podhale style, etc.
