In the newly implemented arrangement of the headquarters of WPP creative transformation company - a global leader in communications, experience, commerce and technology, the most important element shaping the spaces became glass. The installation of glass walls in the new headquarters located in the Koneser Press Center was handled by CreoConcept.

WPP's modern office occupied a total of five floors, allowing the use of nine thousand square meters of office space. For the investors, it was important that the decor refer to the history of the place and the company's activities. The space was divided by glass walls, often reaching up to three and a half meters in height. There is also a section called "greenhouse", which is four and a half meters high. It is distinguished by the use of floral and plant motifs. There is also no shortage of floral elements.

There is a "meadow" zone, where a canteen has been arranged using tiles in beautiful colors of turquoise and blue, as well as earth colors," says architect Katarzyna Chmurzyńska-Mazur of Trzop Architekci studio.

Solutions that create functionality

How did they try to reduce function? Above all, glass walls made of Pure and Silence systems were used, with the additional advantage of muntins. In this way, the division into conference rooms, meeting areas or areas allowing for concentrated work was separated. At the same time, the use of glass walls allows easy access to daylight. Optical partitions also allow spaces to be enlarged, giving them additional lightness. It is worth mentioning that glass walls can also be used for decorative purposes. Most of the door models used in the WPP office are LOFT-frame doors, but solid and double doors were also used.

Facing the challenges of the project

CreoConcept's participation was an essential part of leading the entire project from the start of the investment, supervision of the design process to the execution of the walls and aluminum and glass doors. In this way, CreoConcept became one of the co-developers of the WPP office. Almost six hundred square meters of glass walls and one hundred and ten pairs of doors were installed on all floors of the building, covering six floors of office space. The largest part of the total, exceeding more than four hundred and thirty square meters, were SILENCE LOFT walls. Their advantage is having double glazing with horizontal and vertical muntins, allowing to create excellent acoustic conditions (their acoustic insulation coefficient is forty-eight decibels).

SILENCE LOFT glass walls were complemented by another model, SILENCE. This is a seamless solution that has a similar result in terms of sound insulation coefficient. The WPP office space also used the PURE LO FT model with single-glazed walls with vertical and horizontal muntins. Among the walls with standard rectangular shapes were also walls in the shape of a semicircle or trapezoid, the design and construction of which was one of the most interesting parts of the project.

In most of the glass walls, system electrical mullions were used, allowing the installation of electrical devices such as light switches, electrical sockets, temperature setters. The choice of doors depended primarily on the requirements and purpose of the room in which they were used. Perfectly fulfills this role STANDARD LOFT, which is a glass door in an aluminum frame with horizontal muntins. This model allows the use of single-leaf, double-leaf, solid and all-glass doors. In the case of all-glass doors, CreoConcept has created a system based on arch-shaped muntins, which is an innovative solution in the context of this type of product.
