How to manage culture at a distance? A free guide from Catherine Shustov

30 of April '20

In a webinar on what will change after the COVID-19pandemic, Zuzanna Skalska predicts that, among other things, the current situation will certainly affect the perception of remote work. It is possible that, being employed in a Warsaw company, we will be able to live, for example, in Bali and send completed tasks from there. How does this relate to cultural institutions? The Warsaw Uprising Museum recorded the largest group of listeners ever. The guides did not face groups of 20 people as before. Thanks to online activities, thousands of people took part in the tour.

The example of the Warsaw Uprising Museum shows that virtual activity is also very popular and worth investing in. Do other institutions that have spent years building their identity "stationary", in the physical world, also have a chance to find their way online?

The answer should be sought from Katarzyna Szustow, who created the brand SZUSTOW. Culture and Communication. From the official site is available for free download "A Guide for Cultural Institutions in Pandemic Times."

In 2012 I wrote: "Communication (from Latin communis) is sharing or community. Communication produces community - the essence of culture." This is how my company was founded. During a pandemic, building communities is paramount. They are what give strength to live. Today we need to communicate more efficiently ," says Katarzyna Szustow, owner of SZUSTOW. Culture and Communication.
