The fourth edition of the nationwide competition "Create a green future with Cemex" has come to an end. The final stage took place on June 11 at the headquarters of Cemex Poland in Warsaw. The winners were students from the AGH University of Science and Technology and the Warsaw University of Technology.

Nearly 40 diploma theses from universities from all over Poland were submitted for this year's edition. Of the submitted works, 10 were qualified for the second stage, where the authors had the opportunity to present their projects before the Jury and the Competition's Chapter. All speeches were characterized by a high level of content and an innovative research approach. The participants proved that young engineers are already thinking about the future of the construction industry in the context of sustainable development and climate challenges.
After intense deliberations, the Jury and the Chapter selected three winners:

The Jury of the competition consisted of representatives of Cemex Poland - experts from various areas and business lines of the company. In turn, the jury consisted of recognized representatives of the academic community:

All the presented works were characterized by a high substantive and technical level, which testifies to the growing awareness of young engineers towards the challenges of environmental protection and sustainable development. It is very encouraging to see graduates already at the beginning of their careers taking up topics that are key to the future of the construction industry.
The "Create a Green Future with Cemex" competition is aimed at authors of theses - bachelor's, engineering, master's and postgraduate. The aim of the initiative is to recognize projects that respond to today's climate challenges, promote sustainable development and contribute to the transformation of the construction sector. Thematic areas include: measures to reduceCO2 emissions in the 5C value chain, green and innovative material solutions that reduce the use of natural resources, the closed-loop economy, managing waste materials and returning materials to circulation, and optimizing and improving the efficiency of production processes and products.
The competition aims to bring the scientific and business communities together and encourage young engineers to create innovative solutions for climate protection and sustainable development in the construction industry. We are proud to have organized this event for the fourth time and to witness such mature, innovative and responsible projects.
