Re HEWI's new family of chairs

23 of October '23

How can waste generated during manufacturing be given a second life? This question gave rise to Re HEWI's new family of shower chairs. Consisting of three stools and two chairs in colors of bottle green and dark granite gray, it is both tactile and visually inspiring. In keeping with the spirit of shorter supply chains, the post-industrial recycled materials are sourced in part from HEWI itself as well as from a regional, neighboring supplier.

With a mix of recycled polypropylene and polyamide, the lightly spotted surfaces with their unique patterns are individual every time. Using recycled materials not only reduces plastic waste, but also makes each seat and armrest simply unique.

Why recycled material products?

HEWI has always been aware of its special responsibility in terms of resources and energy. In the future, HEWI will continue to harness the potential of plastics and follow the principles of a closed-loop economy. Products made from recycled materials reduce plastic waste and require less energy and water to produce, thus generating fewerCO2 emissions.

HEWI's goal is for everyone to be able to live as self-reliant a life as possible, and for HEWI's solutions to contribute to their well-being. Therefore, the company is constantly working to create accessible products and barrier-free sanitary ware concepts in the spirit of universal design.
