Guardian Glass Europe has launched the latest product in its leading SunGuard® eXtraSelective product series - Guardian SunGuard® SNX 70.
SunGuard SNX 70 is a new triple silver-coated glass that allows for above-average solar control, offers light transmission close to 70% and high thermal insulation. In addition, the product features an exceptionally clean, natural appearance and a subtle level of light reflection, which contributes to uniform aesthetics in terms of contours from different viewing angles.

This means that SunGuard SNX 70 allows architects to bring in more natural light, and offers the potential to improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort while maintaining excellent design aesthetics. This, in turn, can lead to improved occupant well-being and is particularly important for office, healthcare and school buildings, where higher levels of natural light can promote concentration, regeneration and learning.
The glass is particularly effective when used in combination with Guardian UltraClear® base glass - the SunGuard SNX 70 Ultra version. In standard single-chamber sets, it offers a light transmittance of 68%, a total solar energy transmittance of 32% and a Ug value of 1.0 W/m2K. Equally impressive are the parameters in double-chamber sets : light transmittance of 62%, a total solar energy transmittance coefficient of 30% and a Ug value of 0.5 W/m2K. The excellent transparency of the glass also means that the view from both inside and outside is more realistic.

SunGuard SNX 70 can also help with environmental certification. As part of the SunGuard range in Europe and Russia, SunGuard SNX 70 has an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) and has been independently assessed under the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Products environmental program, achieving Bronze certification.
In terms of aesthetics, the 13% exterior reflectance helps give buildings an elegant character, allowing them to stand out from their surroundings and be more attractive to look at.
