Architects from Krakow-based Horizone Studio are once again designing an office building for an IT company. After the success of the Ericpol building in Lodz - awarded by SARP as the best completed office building in Poland in 2015 - it's time for a new challenge, this time the headquarters of the Polish-Belarusiancompany Epol Soft.

The office building will be constructed in Belarus, near one of the main streets of Brest, adjacent to Brest Technical University. The mass will consist of two parts situated around a public courtyard. Dominating the whole establishment, the triangular structure will have six above-ground floors. Around the building, the architects have planned a friendly common space for future users. Accessible to all will be not only the promenade, but also a restaurant with an outdoor garden and an intimate atrium.

The elevations, the project's authors emphasize, have been designed so that their irregular character harmonizes with the building's dynamic architectural form. The architects aim to achieve this effect through the use of irregularly spaced, two-story high vertical "veins" wrapping around the entire building. Both the exterior ironwork and facade finishes are planned in warm copper tones.

An IT company will occupy part of the floors, while the remaining floors will be used for rent. The upper floors of the building will house offices, the first floor will have restaurant, conference and service functions, and the underground section will be used for parking.

According to the project's authors, Epol Soft's office building is expected to attract tenants and their customers with its attractiveness. Moreover, Brest authorities, noting the potential and city-forming role of the building with its public services, decided to change the location of the pedestrian promenade leading to the university so that it would be adjacent to the building of Epol Soft's new headquarters.
