100% natural Sintered Stone with innovative technology to prevent the proliferation of harmful bacteria.

Warsaw, June 21, 2021. The Neolith® brand, the world's leading manufacturer of Sintered Stone, has inaugurated a new series of ESSENTIALS in Poland, focusing attention on new essential elements of our reality, created on the grounds of the ongoing pandemic. It is a revolutionary product that has gained recognition from architects, designers, decorators and contractors. The material is 100% natural and now presents a new composition containing up to 90% recycled materials and includes new technology to prevent the proliferation of bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella.

All over the world, the idea of the essential has now taken on a new meaning - health, safety and environmental awareness have become firmly established in our daily lives. The current global situation has increased the public's commitment to environmental protection and concern for exposure to biological agents such as bacteria, while also contributing to an increased special interest in well-being, cleanliness and aesthetic qualities. There has therefore been a paradigm shift in which the selection of materials for everyday use is becoming essential to improving the quality of life," points out José Luis Ramón, Neolith® CEO.

Three overarching values of the ESSENTIALS series

Neolith® ESSENTIALS is based on three overarching values that define the character of the brand and this new product series in particular:

Environment

Neolith® is a 100% natural product and the first company in the industry to achieve the carbon neutral category in 2019, demonstrating a high level of social consciousness and a commitment to respecting and protecting the environment by implementing a number of important environmental initiatives .

Keen to maintain and deepen its commitment to the environment, Neolith® is now introducing a new composition of the surfaces it offers, including up to 90% recycled materials for some models in the ESSENTIALS series.

Hygiene

Due toits unique technical properties, such as near-zero porosity and ease of cleaning and disinfection with household cleaners, Neolith® is an ultra-hygienic, low-maintenance surface that is ideal for use in both home and professional kitchens.

With theESSENTIALS series, the Neolith® brand goes a step further and focuses on food hygiene with the introduction of NeolEAT technology . This is a technology that - while ensuring the proper level of material hygiene in a domestic environment - contributes to reducing the proliferation of bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella.

NeolEATtechnology has already been applied within four models in the new series: theShilin, Wulong, Metropolitan and Sofia Cuprum 2021 (according to JIS Z 2801:2006 / ISO 22196 with an effectiveness of more than 99.9%).

Excellence

An integral part of the Neolith® brand DNA. It is important to emphasize the brand's commitment and high requirements for ensuring the highest quality and meeting the most stringent standards during the production of all surfaces offered. From sourcing of raw materials, quality control and delicacy of design to carbon neutral production .

The Neolith® ESSENTIALS series illustrates the brand's constant appetite for innovation, using avant-garde technologies and processes to achieve the best results in terms of composition, quality and aesthetics of the surfaces being developed .

New models

In its quest for essential elements to ensure visual harmony and functionality, Neolith® ESSENTIALS is introducing two new limestone-inspired models for the design of living spaces conducive to an atmosphere of peace and tranquility: Shilin and Wulong.

SHILIN: beauty that exudes tranquility

Inspired by China's natural landscape, the karst of Shilin also known as the "Stone Forest," the Shilin model features a light-colored background and fine grained details, as well as a special texture that further enhances the natural characteristics of the limestone-like material.

WULONG: elegant neutrality

Following on from the Shilin model, the Wulong model is a slightly darker surface, developed using gray tones and grainy details, and the model's source of inspiration was one of China's unique geological formations: the Wulong karst.

Neolith® ESSENTIALS also incorporates another of the latest trends in residential and commercial architecture and interior design - industrial minimalism. This is a new essential aspect of space design, based on restraint and functionality and the principle of "less is more," eliminating everything superfluous.

Thenew Metropolitan and Sofia Cuprum 2021models are the Neolith® brand's answer to this trend, with metallic shades leading the way in spaces, giving contemporary architecture character and an extremely urban atmosphere. It's a simple way to personalize countertops, walls, floors, furniture or ventilated facades, applying wear and contrast effects with distinctive accents.

METROPOLITAN: avant-garde character

The Metropolitan model alludes to majestic metropolitan skyscrapers, urban fashion, and the avant-garde art scene at the same time. The metallic decoration with a worn effect and delicate but characterful contrasts, inspired by the dynamics of the urban hustle and bustle, allows this model to be used as a unique visual focal point of any space, whether for restrained accents or 360º use.

The new model stands out due to the use of the Steel Touch finish, which combines a metallic reflection and steel-like effect with the properties of Sintered Stones, such as high scratch resistance. In addition, the model can be used as part of various interior and exterior cladding, furniture and countertops thanks to the availability of different thickness variants.

SOFIA CUPRUM 2021: industrial minimalism

The Sofia Cuprum model is evolving into the future, presenting a new face: Sofia Cuprum 2021. The metal that served as the source of inspiration for this surface dates back to the early 21st century, when the famous French architect Jean Nouvel designed a new building that is an extension of the Queen Sofia Museum complex in Madrid.

The Sofia Cuprum 2021 model, with its restrained aesthetics and dark tones, features various effects, shades and degrees of gloss.

It is a model that also achieves maximum fine detailing thanks to Full Body decoration, ensuring that the model has the same color both on the surface and on the edges; it can be used for a variety of applications within interior and exterior cladding, countertops and furniture.

Both models stand out because of the new 90Rcomposition , which includes up to 90% recycled raw materials. The aforementioned level of recycled raw material content varies depending on its availability.
