One of the best-designed public spaces in the world is located in Poznań

16 of September '20

Thesquare in Poznan's Chwaliszczewo district by Pawel Grobelny has been recognized in an international competition titled. "DNA PARIS DESIGN AWARD 2020". The jury selected fifteen best-designed public spaces from around the world, and among them, the Circle Form project was the only one from Poland.

Theminimalist square called Circle Form is an example of an open form of urban furniture - not fully defined, leaving various possibilities for use. The central point of the designed space is a circle made of corten and bankirai wood. The author cut the circle to preserve communication between nearby buildings, which at the same time allowed him to create the function of a traditional urban bench. The resulting platform, on the other hand, makes it possible to relax, lounge, have picnics - in a word, to treat this place like a home terrace, but in a public space.
