BE DDJM Architects studio with a new name!

13 of December '23

In 2018, Cracow-based design studio BE DDJM Architekci merged with the international holding company Baumschlager Eberle Architekten. The studio, continuing the process of integration into the group, announced the change of its former name to Baumschlager Eberle Architekci Krakow.

Responsibility for introducing changes to the design office and managing Baumschlager Eberle Architekci Kraków is held by Anna Pawlowska - an architect and manager previously associated with Artur Jasinski i Wspólnicy, Urba Architects and Iliard Achitecture & Interior Design. Her task, in addition to managing the team and working with clients, is to introduce into the team's daily work the methodology and culture developed by the Austrian holding company, which is present in fifteen locations around the world and employs more than 250 architects. The Krakow team led by Anna Pawlowska has thirty people.

We are changing our name, as all the local offices affiliated with the holding company around the world have done. But more important is what internally goes behind the full identification with the owners from Lustenau, Austria. Our goal is to carry over thebest design patterns of smart and sustainable architecture, honed over the years by the offices belonging to the Baumschlager Eberle family. Our team is very experienced in the design of demanding cultural buildings, commercial properties - especially office, residential, but also complex projects related to the redevelopment of historic buildings. We will continue to explore these design areas, but we also want to put a strong focus on developing projects in the spirit of "everyday architecture." We are interested in sustainable design of schools, medical facilities, including hospitals. Thanks to the holding company's experience, we can develop these competencies with the support of colleagues from around the world," explains Anna Pawlowska.

The Baumschlager Eberle Architekci Krakow studio develops buildings all over Poland, focusing mainly on public, commercial and residential projects, as well as the redevelopment of historic properties. Their best-known realizations include: Krzysztof Penderecki's European Music Center in Luslawice, Unity Centre in Krakow, Murano Park estate in Warsaw or Stradom House and H15 Hotel Palace hotels located in historic buildings. Other important and recognizable projects of the office are currently under construction, including the Camerimage European Film Center in Toruń (carried out jointly with Baumschlager Eberle Lustenau), the Chichy Kącik Music Center in Cracow and the redevelopment of the Cracow Main Post Office.
