The Red Dot Design Award, presented since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, remains one of the most prestigious awards in the world of design. The jury evaluates not only the aesthetics of the products but also innovation, build quality, functionality, and design responsibility.
Winning the Red Dot Design Award is one of the most important moments in the history of product development for any manufacturer. A project where two design philosophies converged
The award-winning Carta by emo design collection was created in collaboration with the renowned Italian studio Emo Design. The result of this partnership is a design that combines two perspectives on contemporary design—Deante Design Studio’s signature approach to functionality, durability, and craftsmanship with the Italian flair for form and the ability to create timeless aesthetics.
Carta by emo design was designed in the spirit of conscious minimalism. Its form is understated yet not cold; subtle, yet expressive. The design is based on material consistency and proportions that ensure the collection remains relevant regardless of changing trends. This design is created with long-term use in mind—both aesthetically and technologically.
The collection’s journey that caught designers’ attention
The collection’s first international presentation took place at the Cersaie trade fair in Bologna—one of the world’s most important events in the bathroom fixtures and ceramics industry. It was there that Carta by emo design first caught the attention of architects, interior designers, and representatives of manufacturers from many countries.
The collection made its Polish debut at the Warsaw edition of ARCHITECT@WORK. It was the first venue in the country where architects could see the design even before its official market launch. Essen – A Global Celebration of Design
This year’s Red Dot Design Award ceremony, held on July 7 at the Aalto Theater in Essen, brought together designers and representatives of the world’s most recognizable brands. Among the winners and guests were representatives from companies such as Ferrari, Honda, Fiskars, BRP, and Epson, and the event traditionally served as a gathering place for the most prominent figures in contemporary design.
The Deante Design Studio team was also present at the gala, along with designers from Emo Design, to jointly accept the award for the Carta by emo design collection. The symbolic significance of this presence underscores the nature of the project itself—created through a collaboration between a Polish manufacturer and an Italian design studio, resulting in a collection recognized by the most demanding jury in the world of design.

This latest Red Dot Award confirms that the design approach consistently developed by Deante Design Studio is gaining global recognition.
