Hotel design and project management

The scale of the hotel investments carried out in the past year is best illustrated by the numbers. AKA Studio designed interiors for ten hotels in five countries in 2023. Their total area is as much as 36,491 sq. m, which translates into 1146 rooms and includes 2498 sq. m of common space, such as lobbies and restaurants. "It was an extremely successful year, especially in terms of hotel design. We took part in a number of competitions from the investor call, which brought realizations this year and pave the way for more in 2024." - comments arch. Agata Łapuchowska, co-owner of the studio.

"We are very pleased that our regular investors also come back to us for more projects, trusting our professionalism and knowledge of the hotel market, but also the reliability and timeliness of the projects we prepare," adds arch. Karolina Kowalik, co-owner of the studio. In 2023, the studio's team was significantly expanded, with people with extensive experience in hotel design joining the team. Their competence allows even better matching of projects to the needs and requirements of investors. Cooperation with investors in many cases also included the Project Management service, which includes comprehensive hotel investment management packages from the organization of the concept through implementation to the opening of the hotels and their settlement. The Project Management team managed 13,178 sq.m. this year, which translates into: one new hotel under construction and upgrades to existing hotels in terms of rooms and common areas including conference facilities.

HoReCa consulting

AKA Studio's vast experience in the field of hotel design and excellent knowledge of this industry in the Polish and European markets decided to expand the studio's activities to include a multi-level consulting service in the HoReCa field. This service consists of assistance and consulting for investors who are embarking on their adventure with the demanding hotel market. It includes, among other things, finding a suitable plot of land, building a business plan, developing a financial feasibility study for the project, and even helping to find and train the right personnel. "Not only do we implement concepts of already existing hotel brands, but we also create completely new ones, responding to market demand and moving the hotel industry towards even greater personalization and uniqueness of offerings," - says arch. Karolina Kowalik. "We conduct a detailed audit of the market and advise whether it has investor potential and in what direction it should develop. We consider what type of hotel makes business sense and what standards it should meet. We also approach the process from the creative side, proposing a name or visual identity, the elements that make up the identity of a given facility." - adds arch. Agata Łapuchowska.
