Bogdan Kulczynski is the recipient of the SARP 2022 Honorary Award.

Bogdan Kulczynski has been awarded the Honorary Award of the Association of Polish Architects 2022. The architect was recognized, among other things, for his consistent treatment of architecture as an art and his judging activities in the Warsaw Branch of SARP.

The decision to grant the award to Bogdan Kulczynski was made by a chapter consisting of the winners and laureates of previous years - Prof. Ewa Kurylowicz, Jacek Lenart, Zbigniew Reszko, Prof. Boleslaw Stelmach. The chairman of the chapter was SARP president Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys. As we read in the justification of the decision:

TheLaureate's work, supported by his active activity in the Association, both in the Warsaw Branch of SARP and in the judging activity, is an example of consistent treatment of architecture as art. The conceptual element here is skillfully woven into high-class craftsmanship, resulting in innovative and innovative solutions that constitute a timeless resource of architecture that builds Polish culture.

Bogdan Kulczynski was a member of the Council of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (1982-1985), president of the Free Circle of Architects of SARP (1985-1987), and vice-president of the Warsaw Branch of SARP (1987-1989). For more than thirty years he has led the Kulczynski Architekt studio. He has designed, among others, the Olympic Center in Warsaw, the European Fairy Tale Center in Pacanów and the conversion of the Branicki Palace into a modern boutique hotel at 40 Smolna Street in Warsaw.

An exhibition on the achievements of this year's laureate, as well as a ceremony to present the SARP 2022 Honorary Award, will be held on December 2, 2022, at the exhibition pavilion of the Association of Polish Architects in Warsaw.
