GEZE has been offering various types of solutions for door and window automation for years. We are an internationally recognized leader in this area, but we are constantly striving to improve our solutions. This time we present our IQ box Safety system, which increases the safety of using window systems in various types of public facilities.
for higher safety
IQ box Safety is a safety module for protecting dangerous areas at motorized windows. It protects the edges that threaten to crush and cut on the main and side closing edges. As a TÜV-tested solution, it guarantees maximum safety in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and -2 and meets the highest protection classes for motorized windows according to the risk assessment of the Machinery Directive (protection class 4 according to VFF KB.01). The possibility of connecting up to four sensors (tactile and/or non-contact) enables variable and tailored security for motorized windows automated with GEZE IQ windowdrive actuators powered by 24V DC (from software version V3.2).

The system gives you design and planning freedom when developing your motorized window concept:
- a suitable solution for gravity ventilation, smoke and heat extractors (SHEV),
- Suitable for all types of control (smoke and heat removal control unit, e.g. GEZE MBZ 300 or
THZ, 24 V power supply, KNX, IQ gear), - for all common window types and opening methods.

GEZE currently holds Certificates of Constancy for windows on profiles from such renowned manufacturers as Aluprof, Aliplast, Aluron, Ponzio and Yawal. GEZE smoke ventilation windows with actuators can be made in practically any variant - tilt, turn, tilt, scissor, vertical as well as roof.
