Open Eyes Economy Summit (November 17-18, 2020), or the Value Economy Congress, is an event that has become a permanent fixture on the calendar of the most important events you need to be at!(OEES 2019 coverage) It is referred to as the "Polish Davos"! In addition to topics related to economics, politics, culture or business, there is always a track dedicated to the city and architecture. The OEES FESTIVAL, in turn, is the third time we organize the FOPA Festival of Open Architectural Studios.

The5th edition of the OEES congress will have a hybrid formula - events, talks and speeches will be available to watch via a streaming platform. The registration of participants has already started. During the two days of the congress, it will be possible to listen to prominent representatives from various fields of social life. Since the first edition, the organizers have combined interdisciplinarity, diversity with innovative approaches to a wide range of issues and topics. Specialists in biology, cybernetics and philosophy will address the topics of artificial intelligence. Territorial and climate solidarity and new models of governance will be presented by representatives of local governments. There will also be talk about what the economy might look like in a post-pandemic world, what shape cities plunged into climate crisis will take, and what new educational models should look like in a Polish school.
The chairman of the program council, spiritus movens of the congress is Professor Jerzy Hausner, and its creative director is Mateusz Zmyślony. However, OEES is first and foremost people who meet and exchange experiences, insights and reflections on the condition of the modern world. It is a place that brings together prominent figures from the world of science, economics, culture. Speakers include: Muhammad Yunus - winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize and founder of Grameen Bank, Johannes Hahn - EC Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Miroslaw Proppé - Chairman of the Board, WWF Poland, Rafał Sonik - racer, President of the Clean Poland Association, Dr. Henryk Czubek - Head of the UN Industrial Development Team, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Industrial Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gesine Schwan - Rector, Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance in Berlin, Martin Raiser - Regional Director for China, Mongolia and Korea, World Bank.
OEES is also a platform where we talk about change and how to implement it. Increasingly, we understand that the shape of the future world is in our hands, and it is up to us to "design" it.
CITY-IDEA
This year's M CITY-IDEA track will be dedicated to one of the biggest challenges facing us in the near future, namely the adaptation of architecture and cities to climate change.
We invite you to attend it on the second day of the OEES congress, i.e. November 18, 2020. There we will face the topics "Architecture for the new times," "Why do architects contribute to climate change?" and "Green me! On adapting cities to climate change". Speakers will include Professor Dietmar Eberle, Nathalie de Vries (MVRDV), Agata Twardoch, Robert Konieczny, Bartłomiej Kisielewski, Centrala.
