Why use touchless faucets?

Modern touchless faucets SCHELL - saving water and money.

Touchless faucets until recently were associated only with commercial facilities, but today they are increasingly appearing in residential buildings as well. There are many arguments why it is worth choosing such a modern mixer, especially since there are more and more interesting models on the market offering even greater functionality and convenience of use.

Electronic faucets are still associated by many people with public spaces, but with the growing variety of models available on the market, they can increasingly be found in private homes or apartments. Their choice is determined primarily by water savings and complete maintenance-free operation. The infrared actuation mechanism and a constant flow volume of up to 3 l/min allow you to save as much as 60% of water compared to a single-lever faucet. No need to touch the knobs, levers or housing translates into maximum hygiene and safe operation. With this type of mechanism, the risk of accidentally setting a hot stream and burning your hands, as can happen, for example, when a child operates a single-lever mixer, disappears. Today's infrared faucets offer many more benefits and are available in a variety of interesting designs that can easily fit into a household budget. A flagship example is the new MODUS E series of practical electronic faucets.

More functions, more possibilities

Electronic mixers used in public spaces are usually equipped only with a standard infrared sensor. The temperature of the water, as well as the timing of its discharge, are generally set permanently by the installer and cannot be changed. However, there are faucets on the market dedicated to semi-commercial and residential construction, which allow you to individually adjust the parameters of the outflowing water according to your needs. For example, the SCHELL MODUS E faucet is equipped with a stream and temperature regulator, so you can easily adjust the volume and parameters of the water according to your activities. An important aspect is also the complete safety of using the mixer in any situation. Thanks to the adjustable hot water lock, there is no risk of scalding your hands if the cold water supply is not available. Contrary to appearances, infrared actuation does not at all have to cause a problem, for example, with the accidental opening of the stream when placing, for example, a bucket in the basin or jamming the sensor. The MODUS E faucet has a special safety feature that prevents unnecessary losses in such situations. The faucet can also be locked for 120 seconds for cleaning.

Hygienic and very economical

Modern electronic faucets offer maximum hygiene not only because of the way they start up. The intelligent electronics used in SCHELL MODUS E faucets offer a rinsing program for the faucet and installation 24 hours after the last use. Regularly activated water flow for 30 seconds helps prevent the proliferation of potentially health-threatening microorganisms in unused sections of the internal water system. At the same time, the water flow has been adjusted to ensure that precious water is spared. The maximum flow rate in this case is only 3 l/min, while in standard single-lever faucets - as much as 5 l/min. In addition, it is possible to use a special aerator, which further reduces water consumption with a minimum volume of 1.33 l/min. Contrary to appearances, the installation of electronic faucets does not at all involve running an additional power supply. SCHELL MODUS E faucets are available for four AA alkaline batteries, which do not need to be replaced for a very long time. Ease of installation is further ensured by the option of intuitive proximity programming.
