New era in controlling snow and ice protection systems

From June 1, the latest generation ELEKTRA ControlTec Smart SMC controller will be available, designed to control heating systems for protection against snow and ice. The controller is equipped with an innovative function of automatic adaptation of the power of the moisture sensor heater to the current weather conditions, along with the possibility of tuning the operating characteristics. Internet connection allows full remote control of the system.

With appropriate connection of sensors (ETOG-56T, ETOR-55 and ETF-744), it is possible to control two different areas (e.g. gutters and garage exit). The controller is equipped with a WiFi module and an Ethernet port, so it is possible to update the software and operate remotely via a web browser using an installer or user account. An additional advantage of the regulator is the ability to change the power characteristics of the moisture sensor heater in relation to the ambient temperature, which allows even better adaptation of the regulator's operation to the specific conditions of the installation site. The regulator has the possibility of analog cooperation with the BMS through a relay informing about an alarm signal and two pairs of terminals enabling manual start or sleep of the heating system from the BMS level.

The basic functions of the ELEKTRA ControlTec Smart SMC controller include:
