Greenery as living matter of architecture. Workshop at Zodiac

17 of September '20

This Saturday we invite you to the Zodiac for a meeting with the Centrala group and Natalia Budnik to talk about greenery in the context of living matter, to consider how to create a city that is not only people-friendly, and to look for new architectural forms that take into account greenery.

The workshops are held as part of the autumn series City of the Future, which aims to reflect on the challenges of the future such as climate change or changes in social relations and needs in the context of city architecture and life in the city. Each workshop is led by an architect together with an invited expert from other areas of city research. The workshops are held in the form of a walking tour, starting at the Warsaw Architecture Pavilion.

greenery as living matter of architecture

On September 18 at 12:00 pm, the second workshop in the City of the Future series will be held at the Zodiac . The meeting will be led by the Centrala group and Natalia Budnik:

How to create a city to live in circular health, understanding the relationship between the health of people, animals and ecosystems? A component of the architecture of the future must be greenery, which is in constant transformation, changing cyclically - according to the seasons, but also growing or dying. Today, planted vines or young trees will be those that will give us shelter in extreme conditions associated with climate change. It will take several decades before they reach their target size. We invite you to join us in the search for new architectural forms that take greenery into account, and to change our time perspective, allowing us to design architecture with the pace of plant life in mind.

If you want to participate in the meeting, sign up here. The number of seats is limited!
