BAU Munich 2021 hybrid trade fair

01 of October '20

Due to a coronavirus, the BAU World Fair for Architecture, Materials and Systems in Construction in Munich will not be held in its traditional form. Instead, the organizers are proposing a hybrid form. A smaller compact exhibition will be set up on the Munich fairgrounds while it will be complemented by online participation by both exhibitors and visitors.

Despite the stringent security rules developed by Messe-Muenchen, the current situation with the pandemic does not allow for an effective event on the large scale that BAU is accustomed to.

Exhibitors will be able to present themselves in a reduced area of traditional booths. Manufacturers of construction solutions will also be given the opportunity to create virtual booths, which can be accessed online. In turn, visitors can come physically to visit the real exhibitors' booths, while those who will not be able to come to Munich due to restrictions limiting travel will get to know the offerings of all exhibitors: real and virtual through a virtual platform. The virtual networking module will enable all attendees to network at the event, have their products presented by exhibitors, search for business partners and hold discussions. Online live events will also be available at the fair, namely forums and special shows.
In the second half of October, there will be an offer of various options for attending the fair at real and virtual booths, and ticket sales for visitors will begin shortly thereafter.

Preparations will soon begin for the next edition of BAU, which will return in January 2023 in its traditional form, further streamlined with digital solutions.
Information will be available on the fair website www.bau-muenchen.com and at the BAU fair representative office in Poland www.targiwmonachium.pl

The hybrid version of BAU will be held from 13-15.01.2021
