The capital's authorities have just announced the seventh edition of the Architectural Award of the President of the Capital City of Warsaw. The call for candidates in six categories is underway. Anyone can submit nominations.
This is Warsaw's most important architectural plebiscite. The competition, which has been organized since 2015, collects nominations from all interested parties - both architects or inveterate builders and residents and residents of the capital. In addition to the buildings themselves in several categories, events (including books or exhibitions) are awarded and special prizes are given. Awards are given to works voted on by Internet users, as well as those recognized for their environmentally friendly solutions.

In the previous edition, two projects came to the fore. Public Nursery No. 67 in Warsaw - Weso³a by XYstudio received the grand prix of the competition, won the category of public buildings and the vote of internet users. Located in Ursus, Ekopark by the studio ABIES Architektura Krajobrazu (stage I) and LS-Project Maciej Sikorski (stage II) was, in turn, awarded a special honor for pro-ecological solutions and an award in the public spaces category. Candidates in 2021 can be submitted in six categories:

The award can be given to realizations put into use and expirations organized in 2020. The organizer of the competition and founder of the award is the mayor of Warsaw. The award is given in cooperation with the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects, the Mazovian Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland and the Warsaw Branch of the Society of Polish Town Planners.
