The building on Warsaw's Jerozolimskie Avenue and Nowy Swiat was designed by Rudolf Swierczynski. The construction period was 1928-1931, and the building's original interior architecture and furnishings have been preserved to this day. The BGK is considered to be the most outstanding work of the "Warsaw school of architecture" trend. The JEMS project is to restore the qualities of the architecture, which is a creative synthesis of constructivism and classical tradition, to emphasize the unique character of both representative and office spaces. Despite their age, they are easily adaptable to modern requirements thanks to their universal design.

BGK combined state-of-the-art technology, trends in design and craftsmanship, architecture and fine arts into one indivisible whole. It was an expression of fascination with both modernity and applied art, referring to motifs of the national cultural legacy. Rudolf Swierczynski's work has not "aged", it still inspires creative exploration and continuation, and is susceptible to adaptations related to the changing lifestyle and evolving work culture.

Designers from JEMS Architekci began their work on the modernization project for the Swierczynski project building by analyzing its original design, the patterns, colors or materials used. Thanks to a meticulous inventory, it will be possible to preserve all existing valuable furnishings and decor. Moreover, it is planned to restore the monumental interiors on the first floor, lost years ago, their continuity and authenticate the sequence of the three main operating rooms and the entrance hall articulated through the unique tectonics of columnar partitions, light direction, stone details, multicolored stucco. New interior arrangements, parts that have lost the features of the original design will evoke the characteristics and atmosphere of the edifice, color codes and formal principles of composition and materials.
