Subdued colors, the forest and its fabulous inhabitants and the right amount of daylight fill the room of a preschool-aged boy. Architect Maria Podobinska of {tag:Studio} created an optimistic space for play, rest and study on a small area.
This room is to house a preschool-aged boy. The boy's mother had announced quite a design crossover, as this room is the apple of her eye. Fortunately, I was able to deal with the concept quite efficiently and it immediately hit the taste of the future users.
I was given very detailed guidelines for the project, which, by the way, I always ask of my clients. I want the designed space to be tailored to the expectations of its future users.

idea for a small room with a slant
The room is small. It is just less than 11 square meters. We also have a slant, a large balcony door, a radiator and a front door, which greatly limits the functional possibilities of this room. However, I always try to arrange the space in such a way as to take advantage of its assets.

If we have a slant then the best solution is a custom-made development that fits perfectly into the geometry, so that we make optimal use of the space.
Other furniture includes a ready-made closet from Vox Furniture, as well as a small bookcase from Ikea to accommodate a sizable collection of Legos. As an added attraction, the mountains are designed partly as wall shelves and partly as a wall painting. The crib is inspired by a finished product, but I designed it individually to meet the size and color requirements for this room.

decorations and theme
The whole concept refers to the forest climate. And here with help in decorating the walls come wall stickers, of which we now have a huge selection on the market. With them we can easily change the climate in the entire room, without repainting it or painstaking wallpapering. In fact, you can do it yourself. To emphasize the atmosphere of the interior - the ceiling and the upper strip of the walls were painted blue.
