SARP Częstochowa Branch

"President of the branch in the 2019-2023 term: Hubert Wąsek
The community of Częstochowa architects in the early 1930s was organized in the Union of Architects in Częstochowa. The activity of the union's members can be seen in the reports of the proceedings of the second and subsequent Delegates' Conventions of the Union of Associations of Polish Architects, at which our colleagues were appointed to positions on committees and the College of Judges and Competition Secretaries. On May 30, 1934, the first general assembly of the founding members of the Society of Architects of the Republic of Poland (SARP) was held in Warsaw. At the assembly, it was decided that the organization would be universal and uniform throughout the country. The General Board was established and it was decided to transform local organizations of architects into branches. In the same year, 1934, branches were established. The Board of the Częstochowa Branch was headed by Eng. arch. Zygmunt Nowak, opening the pages of the history of SARP in Częstochowa.
Czestochowa architects formed a local Union of Architects in the early 1930s. When the first general meeting of the founders of the Association of Architects of the Republic of Poland was held in Warsaw in 1934, and it was decided that the organization should be uniform throughout the country, the General Board was established and local organizations of architects were transformed into branches of the SARP.

Hubert Wąsek, the current president of the Częstochowa branch of SARP in the new term, plans to organize competitions and efforts to restore the position of City Architect in Częstochowa.

The daily activities and goals of the association's Częstochowa branch are set by the SARP statute: caring for the quality of space, the stature of the profession, the development and protection of creativity, and the integration of the community."
