Summer with Parametric Architecture. Coding and beachcombing at the Baltic Sea

The Foundation for Contemporary Architecture invites architecture students, designers and young professionals to its next summer camp - a week-long workshop on parametric design, to be held in Gdynia from August 10 to 16 this year. During the intensive week-long event, participants will explore the limits of parametric design, digital fabrication and prototype building under the guidance of experienced tutors.

The goal of the workshop is to design and build a pavilion-installation in the Tri-City, as well as gain a set of new skills, including: using parametric design tools, 3D modeling with Rhinoceros, creating algorithmic definitions with Grasshopper, solving problems related to complex geometry, preparing and testing prototypes and materials, preparing files for prototyping and fabrication, and seeing the production process.

The workshop, according to the organizers, is a week of intensive learning, working, fabricating, cutting, modeling, building, scripting, generating, assembling, drilling, joining, headbanging, figuring out, designing, and having a great time in a good atmosphere of young architects, designers from all over Poland interested in new technologies.

The classes will be held in three groups of 8 to 14 people - basic, intermediate and advanced. Tickets: 1550 PLN - Early Bird, 1650 PLN - Normal, 1800 PLN - Late Bird.
