You pull up to your house. Until recently, you had to grab your phone or remote, unlock the screen, and launch the app to open the gate. Now, all you need is your car’s display. Thanks to the integration of the WIŚNIOWSKI Connected app with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, drivers can control their garage door, entrance gate, and compatible front door directly from the vehicle’s multimedia system, without reaching for their phone.

Until recently, in-car screens were used mainly for navigation, music, and calls. Today, drivers expect them to serve as the hub for their daily activities—including those related to the home. Integration with smart home solutions is becoming a natural direction for the automotive industry, and reducing the need to reach for a phone enhances driving convenience and safety.

Fewer steps before arriving home

The biggest change isn’t the act of opening the gate or door itself, but the way this task is performed. Drivers no longer need to unlock their phone, launch an app, or put their smartphone away before performing the maneuver. All the most important functions are available on the car’s screen. This solution will be especially appreciated by users who use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay while driving and want to have the most important functions in one place.

It’s one of those everyday habits that you’ll be happy to leave behind. Just as a gate remote eliminated the need to get out of the car, integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay means the phone can stay on the car’s console. After a few days of using it, it’s hard to imagine going back to the old way of opening the gate.

A solution from WIŚNIOWSKI designed with the driver in mind

The WIŚNIOWSKI Connected interface was developed in accordance with Google and Apple’s guidelines for in-car apps. This means simple operation, clear icons, and the ability to use either the touchscreen or the car’s built-in controls, such as a knob or joystick. This allows the driver to focus on the road.

When designing WIŚNIOWSKI Connected, we asked ourselves a simple question: if the driver uses navigation, music, and their phone on the car’s screen, why would they still need to reach for their smartphone right in front of their own gate? Our goal was to reduce the entire process to a single, intuitive action. “It’s a small change, but when performed almost every day, it quickly becomes a noticeable convenience,” says Wiesław Noga, automation product manager at WIŚNIOWSKI.

To use this feature, the operator or controller must be connected to your home Wi-Fi network and have Internet access. The app is available for free on Google Play and the App Store.
