Collage boutique - an oasis of femininity in Warsaw designed by Moszczyńska Puchalska studio

09 of July '20

Behind the wall of Marta Puchalska-Kraciukand Ewelina Moszczyńska's studio is a boutique created and designed by them. It is a kind of gift for women - here they can find beautiful items that pay tribute to femininity. The authors of the store themselves admit that staying at Collage has a therapeutic effect.

Above all, one can find here beautiful objects - of good quality, coming from the author's studios, sometimes made by hand, but always with great care. Architects from the Moszczyńska Puchalska Studio Architektury studio created the Collage Boutique, where, in addition to ceramics and porcelain, you'll find cosmetics, jewelry, lamps, mirrors and stylish poufs. The whole thing is worked out to the smallest detail - including a "chandelier" made of jade face rollers.

Basia Hyjek: What was the main inspiration for the project?
Marta Puchalska-Kraciuk: Collage is dedicated to women. When creating this space, we selected noble and natural materials that we would like to have in our closest, intimate surroundings. That's why the place alludes to the atmosphere of a dressing room or dressing table, where you can relax away from the rushing world and everyday duties. For many customers, a visit to Collage has a therapeutic effect.

Basia: Where did you get the idea for such a selection of colors and materials?
Marta: When designing interiors, we use calm, subdued colors and noble materials. The place itself, located on the first floor of a modernist tenement house, was also obliging. That's why we chose brass, natural stones, terrazzo and simple pieces of furniture that harmonize with the boutique's assortment.

Basia: Accessories from Polish creators are a very pleasant touch.
Marta: Very pleasant and valuable. We have many inspiring creators and artisans in Poland who are worth supporting. We very much appreciate the lamps of the Polish brand Lexavala, which we show and sell in Collage, and we also have our own accessories brand CLOU, which produces steel and brass mirrors, velvet poufs, marble trays, coffee tables and brass accessories in Poland.

Collage boutique was created behind the wall of our studio, as a place where we wanted to sell our interior products

Basia: What was the biggest challenge in creating this place?
Marta: Collage Boutique was created behind the wall of our studio as a place where we wanted to sell our interior products. We use them in the interiors we design, and they appeal to a wider audience. In the short time between the decision that our boutique would be built and its opening, we decided to expand the assortment to include other accessories for women that reflect our style. The very idea of creating this place and the short lead time was more challenging in this case than the interior design, which is a natural response to our aesthetic vision for our own boutique.
