why architecture?
Already in high school, Alicja knew she wanted to choose a major that combined creativity with mathematics and drawing. Architecture turned out to be a natural choice - giving her the opportunity to be creative, and at the same time based on strict fundamentals.
Choice of university - Silesian University of Technology
The decision to study in Gliwice was a combination of several factors for Alicja:
-
proximity to her hometown, which made it easier to start in a new stage of life,
-
high place of the architecture faculty in the rankings,
-
the university's reputation for its practical and technical approach, with an emphasis on program knowledge and project implementation.
An additional plus was the possibility of choice - architectural studies at the Silesian University of Technology are conducted both in Gliwice and Katowice.

drawing exam and recruitment
To get into the architecture major, candidates must pass an exam in drawing. At the Silesian University of Technology, it consists of two three-hour parts - testing both technical skills and a creative approach to space. Also important were the results of the matriculation exam in mathematics - basic and extended.
new challenges
Starting her studies was a big surprise for Alicia. The clash with the way of teaching at a university proved to be demanding, but at the same time very developing. From the very beginning, the program required students to work hard, be creative and systematic.

Silesian University of Technology gives students the space to develop and combine their passions with demanding challenges. For Alicja, this is just the beginning of the road, but already her studies have confirmed her belief that architecture is the right choice.
