Voting for the Audience Choice Award — as part of the “CONCRETE ARCHITECTURE – THE PLAY OF VOLUMES – A HOUSE IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE” competition

We encourage you to vote for the People’s Choice Award — the best student project made of concrete, submitted to the competition:“CONCRETE ARCHITECTURE – THE PLAY OF VOLUMES – A HOUSE IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE 2026.” The competition is organized by the Faculty of Architecture at the Kraków University of Technology and the Association of Cement Producers. To choose your favorite, simply cast your vote— you may vote only once, and only for one project among the twenty-nine presented. Voting runs from July 3 to August 2 of this year, until 11:59 p.m.* The author of the entry with the most votes will receive a certificate and a one-year subscription to the monthly magazine “A&B.”

The competition was open to second-year students (4th semester) at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Technology. The task was to design a house using concrete that could be built in an urban landscape.

The jury, consisting of Prof. Tomasz Kozłowski, Zbigniew Pilch, Dr. Anna Mielnik, Prof. PK, Dr. Monika Gała-Walczowska, Dr. Marek Początko, Dr. Przemysław Bigaj, Dr. Wojciech Ciepłucha, Dr. Grzegorz Twardowski, Piotr Stalony-Dobrzański, and Marek Kaszyński, awarded three main prizes and gave honorable mentions to the remaining finalists.

You can find the results of the competition on our website (see Results of the 26th edition of the “CONCRETE ARCHITECTURE – PLAY OF VOLUMES – A HOUSE IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE” competition).

We encourage you to choose your favorite thesis project by voting for the People’s Choice Award. Twenty-nine projects that made it to the competition finals are participating in the poll. You can view all the entries below. The perspective views of the buildings are hand-drawn— acrylic, tempera, and pencil on cardboard.

Full visualizations of the projects can be found on the website of the Department of Architectural Design at the Kraków University of Technology.

    * Voting is open until August 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Only one vote may be cast per entry participating in the People’s Choice Award voting. The system allows for multiple votes from the same IP address to enable voting by multiple people from the same network, such as an academic network, an architectural firm, etc. The maximum number of votes allowed from a single IP address is 11. If a single person casts more than 11 votes (by clearing cookies, changing IP location, browser fingerprints, or sessions, or by using bots), those votes will be invalidated. To verify the integrity of the voting mechanism, each entry has received one control vote from the A&B Editorial Board.

NOTE: The system counts all votes. After voting closes, all votes for each entry will be reviewed for violations of the rules and invalidated if they violate these rules. The correct number of votes cast will be made public after the server logs are reviewed when the voting results are published.
