A&B: What program of activities of the SARP branch do you envision for the near future? Are there any changes planned?

Marta Sękulska-Wrońska: One of the basic statutory tasks of SARP is to "nurture the stature of the architectural profession in the context of its social and cultural significance." We see the need to increase unity and strengthen the voice of architects, to join forces. SARP and its Branches are part of the debate about architects and architecture. Together with the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland and its Districts, the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning, local governments, universities, the activities of individual designers and studios, we create a whole picture whose recipient is the Public. Where our scopes overlap, we will seek to strengthen the message, to emphasize intellectual value, knowledge and beauty in our Creation.

At the same time, these elements make up quality, and it is impossible to talk about quality without the wise use of our planet's resources. Designing for the climate crisis will be our theme for the architectural debate. The debate, part of which will be events at the Warsaw Architecture Pavilion ZODIAK, which, thanks to the efforts of several terms of office, was created and functions in a unique, unprecedented in the country formula of partnership between SARP and the City units responsible for shaping its space, i.e. the Office of Architecture and Spatial Planning of the City of Warsaw and the Office of Economic Development of the City of Warsaw.

As in our professional work, we will seek the best solutions, analyzing the needs and gathering guidance from professionals within the Association and with it, sharing our experience with Fellows, as well as supporters of our beautiful profession and our Creativity. And from time to time we will invite you to have fun, joke, dance and breathe in a pleasant atmosphere at a party.

Let's get together!

A&B: How many members are there in the branch and how much are the dues?

Marta Sekulska-Wronska: There are currently 1030 members and the dues are 20 PLN/month for active SARP members. Half of this amount up to 3 years from the date of graduation from an architectural university. We encourage single payments for the whole year or combined payments which makes it much easier to book payments with such a large community of Branch members.

A&B: Why is it worth being a member of SARP?

Marta Sękulska-Wronska: The dynamics of today's world does not reward passivity, it forces constant change, and being passive means that you have no influence on the direction of these changes. We became architects because it is our passion, we want our knowledge to be appreciated and we want to become better ourselves. By combining our forces in the Association, we cause the voice of architects and about architecture from other institutions to be supplemented with statutory values, caring about the RANGUE of the profession, the QUALITY of ARCHITECTURE. Thus, we build invaluable values - COMMUNITY, a platform for the exchange of experience and good energy. For us, this is the main motivation.

And for you, what is important?
