Bella Plast's new design in building insulation

27 of April '21

Building insulation systems carried out by BSO method (jointless insulation systems - "light-wet" method) - ETICS(external thermal insulation composite system) with the use of thermal claddings such as Styrofoam and mineral wool is the most common and still - in terms of economy - the most attractive method of insulating external walls of buildings.

Bella Plast has been a manufacturer of mouldings and trim profiles for these systems for more than 25 years.

Among the novelties prepared for 2021, noteworthy is the system of PVC facade profiles, which includes slats named BP19 and BP11 HTS. The BP19 slat is a standing outer seam shape with a triangular cross-section, while the BP11 HTS slat is the negative of the BP19 slat, which is an inverted seam also with a triangular cross-section.

Both slats can be used together or separately. The arrangement of the slats on the surface of the facade is completely arbitrary - depending on the facade design adopted.

BP19 and BP11 HTS strips can be installed both vertically and horizontally and in any other position. The possibilities arising from the juxtaposition of both strips on the surface of the facade are very wide. With BP11 HTS slats it is possible to obtain, for example, typical horizontal rustication in the shape of a triangular groove, and with BP19 slats - vertical standing seams - analogous - to the view of a standing seam known from joining steel sheets on the so-called "seam". Another interesting effect is a facade using BP19 slats in the form of a "MATRIX" - vertical sections of different lengths located at different distances from each other. Also noteworthy is the simultaneous use of BP19 and BP11 HTS slats in a vertical position, alternating - that is, once the BP19 slat (standing seam), and once the BP11 HTS slat or concave seam (triangular bonia).

The installation of BP19 and BP11 HTS slats is analogous to the installation of slats and profiles dedicated to the "light-wet" BSO thermal insulation systems. The BP19 and BP11 HTS slats have strips of glass mesh on both sides of the PVC body. The glass mesh is mounted to the body by means of ultrasonic welding, which is characterized by high resistance to rupture and guarantees a secure connection of the PVC profile (body) with the glass mesh strips. Installation of BP19 and BP11 HTS strips to the facade surface is intuitive. It is necessary to previously spread glass mesh embedding glue on the thermal cladding and stick the trim, then the glass mesh strips, with which the trim is equipped, should be covered with facade glass mesh overlapping from the top and both meshes, in one gluing operation, should be embedded. The next step, of course, is to spread a layer of plaster.

The BP11 HTS trim requires a typical groove in the layer of Styrofoam or mineral wool - as for a traditional rustication trim.

The BP19 and BP11 HTS strips are produced in technical white color for painting with acrylic, silicate and silicone type facade paints. The most favorable effect is obtained when the color of the plaster and the color of the paint with which we paint the slats is the same. It is also possible to produce BP19 and BP11 HTS slats colored in the mass in any color, including metallic, silver, etc. from the RAL CLASSIC-7 palette. Using the BP19 and BP11 HT system of facade slats allows you to shape the view of the facade in a more accessible way and get a good effect of more interesting architecture. BP19 and BP11 HTS slats guarantee the uniformity of the system throughout the building. The BP19 and BP11 HT slats have received protection from the R.P. Patent Office. The solution also has approval for use in construction in the form of a National Technical Assessment issued by the Building Research Institute in Warsaw.
