The "Roca One Day Design Challenge" competition organized by Roca connects students, young designers and architects with the world of professional design. It allows you to see the vision of participants who demonstrate an unconventional approach to architecture, while designing with an extraordinary sense of environmental and social issues with sustainability in mind.
This year's fifth Polish edition of the competition was held at the University Library of Warsaw (BUW) and was open to students, young designers and architects with Polish or Ukrainian citizenship. The interiors of the BUW, which is one of the contemporary architectural icons of the capital, created an excellent atmosphere for creative work. Participants could also take part in the event in an online format.

What was the competition task?
The theme of the competition emphasized the possibility of using the bathroom through all the senses. The task was to design an innovative solution that supports the personal well-being of the bathroom user. It could have been a product, detail, element or kit for the bathroom space, enriching the daily beauty rituals in that room. Details of the challenge were announced on the day of the event, and participants could complete projects working individually or in teams of two. The works were evaluated in terms of compliance with the competition's objectives, innovation and originality, functionality and usability, as well as aesthetics and workmanship quality.
